Washington State voters had the chance to protect our climate and GND policies by defeating I-2117 (repealing the Climate Commitment Act), I-2066 (repealing methane rules), and other regressive Initiatives on Nov. 5th. No on 2117 has some fact sheets that explain the harms of I-2117. Sightline has an excellent explanation of I-2066 and the damage it would cause. PSARA, one of the coalition members, has a powerful editorial against them.

While I-2117 was defeated (along with the capital gains tax and long-term care initiatives), I-2066 unfortunately passed. There are indications that I-2066 will be challenged in court on the basis of containing too many issues.
