On April 23, 2024, Pass the GND WA voted to join the Green New Deal Network (GNDN) coalition. From the presentation by Mercedes Renshaw, an organizer of the national GNDN, we learned that the coalition is a network of 14 national organizations and 20+ state groups fighting for a GND that includes union jobs, and tangible care & justice for frontline communities.

National Orgs include: Center for Popular Democracy, Climate Justice Alliance, Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, Greenpeace, Indigenous Environmental Network, Indivisible, Movement for Black Lives, MoveOn, People’s Action, Right to The City Alliance, Service Employees International Union, Sunrise Movement, US Climate Action Network, & Working Families Party. Further details are in a slide presentation used by Ms. Renshaw.

GNDN’s Theory of Change: GNDN’s Theory of Change has three interdependent components: (A) building a united front, (B) power-building, and (C) a mutually reinforcing state/national feedback loop. Check out the full text of GNDN’s Theory of Change here.
